Benefits of the Tag Bumper

1. Prevent and or minimize damage to rear bumper covers. Rear covers are made of either textured, non- painted or refinished plastic or chrome fascias that have textured upper or lower step pads and one use moldings or impact strips. Replacement and/or repair costs range from $250 to $1500 based on model, part price, and labor and paint materials. This range does not include low-impact injury collusion, rental reimbursement or loss of use cash outs. The design of the tag bumper is to eliminate all sharp edges within the front tag bracket assembly. The main purpose is to prevent increased auto insurance premiums associated with low-impact auto accidents.

2. Some state auto insurance policies allow bodily injury claims to be filed if a passenger injures themselves while entering/exiting an insured’s vehicle. A passenger or driver can injure themselves walking around the front of a vehicle when they have made contact with the protruding steel fasteners connecting the license plate to the front tag bracket or front bumper cover. Vehicle owners' and passengers’ can also damage clothes or other personal items.

3. Increased premiums, not only for the at fault auto insurance policy holder, but for where the policy holder lives and where the vehicle is garaged. Adverse accident statistics can affect demographic underwriting decisions based on a higher assessed risk. Good examples are heavy metro traffic cities such as Washington D.C. or Los Angeles, CA. A policy holder who lives within the D.C. City limits will pay a higher auto insurance premium than someone who lives within the surrounding suburban area. Increased accidents statistics = increased risk = increased premiums. This underwriting decision and rate change whether you are a good driver or not.

4. Lot or transportation damage at auto dealerships, shipping docks and repair facilities. For example, if a rear fascia is damaged by currently implemented fasteners, the consumer will want to have the rear fascia repaired before taking ownership. This minimizes bottom line profitability and decreases sales production.

5. Parallel parking miscalculations, valet parking culpability and decreased uninsured motorist claims in applicable states.

6. The tag bumper design can be used in congruence with current O.E.M. tag brackets and state license plates. The tag bumper can be used with a clear, acrylic tag cover and be fastened to the tag bracket or front bumper cover using either nylon, non-corrosive truss head bolts (installed with a Phillips head screw driver) or anti-theft, recessed, nylon hex fasteners (installed with a hex wrench).

7. The tag bumper is made out of low-cost, resilient neoprene rubber. Neoprene rubber can be color- dyed to match a vehicle's exterior refinish. The tag bumper can also be used as a billeting frame showing a dealerships' logo and phone number. It is an easy, one-piece design where the front license tag can be securely inserted into the frame and then fastened to the front tag bracket or front bumper fascia (bumper cover).
